Fractional Chief Technology Officer, At Altura Capital, Andrés serves as Fractional Chief Technology Officer, where he owns the firm’s strategic roadmap for technology and artificial intelligence — guiding how Altura and its portfolio companies adopt cloud, data, and AI-driven capabilities to create long-term business value.He brings to this role more than two decades of experience at the intersection of enterprise sales, cloud infrastructure, and digital transformation, with deep specialization in financial services. Most recently, he spent seven years at Amazon Web Services as Principal Enterprise Account Manager, serving as the primary relationship owner for several of Colombia’s largest banks and insurers. There, he guided customers through core banking migrations, digital insurance launches, and the adoption of data and AI-driven applications, while consistently delivering double-digit year-over-year growth.
Before AWS, Andrés spent over a decade at IBM in progressively senior sales and technical architecture roles, including leading a 15-person sales team across South America and Mexico for IBM’s Digital Business Automation portfolio and serving as an IT Architect within IBM’s Software Lab Services and BPM Center of Excellence.
Andrés holds an MBA from Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey and a degree in Electronic Engineering from Universidad de los Andes, and is AWS certified across several specialties, including Machine Learning. A happy family man and proud father of a boy and a girl, Andrés spends his free time with his kids and on the tennis court — he’s always up for a game involving a racket.
