Roberto Medrano is a Silicon Valley global executive with more than 40 years of experience with small and large companies, including extensive P&L, IPO, acquisition, and board experience helping businesses grow to more than $1 Billion in revenue. As a cybersecurity pioneer, he led companies in the early phases of the firewall, API security, content security, and security policy markets. Previous roles included Global General Manager of HP Software, CEO of Polivec, President of Finjan, VP of Avnet, and Executive at Sun Microsystems.

Roberto has been a company board director with more than 30 private companies and non-profit organizations, including over 12 private companies that have been acquired: Lief Organics (acquired Private Equity), QOS Networks (acquired Private Equity), Arcot (acquired by CA), Aventail (acquired by SonicWall/Dell), Encentuate (acquired by IBM), Netscaler (acquired by Citrix), Bigfix (Acquired IBM), AirZip (acquired Willow Tech), Confluent (acquired by Oblix/Oracle), PivX (IPO 2004), Sand Hill IT Security (went public in a reverse IPO with EdgeWave), JackBe (acquired SoftwareAG).

Today, Roberto is CEO of Beach View, a consulting company providing advisory services, including cybersecurity, SaaS, cloud, AI, Fintech, healthcare, retail, mobile applications, global e-commerce, risk management, and business continuity. As well as services in functional areas, including PR, marketing, sales, Portfolio Management, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Channel Management, Alliance Management, Employee Communications, and M&A.

Roberto has been ranked the #12 Top CMO Worldwide in 2014, Hall of Fame in the IT world, Top Influential and Notable Hispanic Professionals in the Information Technology Industry, and top 100 most influential Hispanics in the USA. Four companies that he has guided made the 2023 Inc 5000 list. Roberto has an MBA from UCLA, an MSEE from MIT and a BSEE from USC. A native of Mexico, Roberto resides in the Los Angeles Metro Area.
